holding infinity was installed at Sculpture in the Vineyards: Wollombi Sculpture Festival in a forest setting — like portal in a forest. A reminder of our relationship to the living world.

The colours were inverted from its previous install  (see HERE) (swapping the pink and orange) — it was interesting to observe what new relationships that arose.

I spent time on site the first and last weekend of the exhibition — wearing my bilby ears — to extend the conversation about life, mortality, grief, infinity… and joy… I have some wonderful conversations.

holding infinity is an invitation to step into the river of life which extends into infinity while remembering that each action we take in our individual lives today impacts the long distant future, well beyond our lifetimes. It was a delight to return near the end of the exhibition to find small spiders were building their webs within my web…

I wish to thank Joseph Horvat and Deborah Redwood for their invaluable assistance during install and deinstall

Wollombi Sculpture 2024 exhibition dates will be: 14- 29 September, 2024
